I thought I would try something new today and toss out a few photos for you to enjoy. Since Friday and photo both have the “F” sound at the beginning, I have alliteration on my side. And, since South America is not politically correct nor am I, the photos are on my side. So without dragging this explanation out any longer, I give you Photo Friday.
Conveniently located on the end cap of the Beer and Wine aisle at a local market, this Jesus bottle opener will have you into a cold one before you can cross yourself. Because He is posed in the standard “I’m ’bout to bless somethin’ ” I can see how you might mistake Him for Saint Brewsky but it’s Jesus.
At the right: I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted a pig head. The grocers in the U.S. have just disappointed me with their gross negligence. I like the fact that the porker at the top center was apparently pleased with the form of his demise, as indicated by his smile. At this market you could buy everything needed to totally reconstruct your own pig. It’s up to you to make it squeal.
Like I said, things aren’t very politically correct down here. This bread and pastry company is essentially called “The Little Black Girl,” but you probably guessed that already.
At the right is a really bad picture of a transformer for the electricity in Paraguay. It’s a dual watt unit. The thing I found odd was the selections. You can pick 50w or 1600w. There wasn’t another number somewhere in that range you wanted to use?
Being that there are no auto manufacturers here, every car is imported. They come from all over the world, in every shape and size and from every country you could imagine, except Paraguay. Imagine my surprise when I found this little econo-box which looks to be a product of the Greenbay Packers. I don’t know the where the car came from but it appears to be a fan of the frozen Northwest. Cheesehead-mobile.
Since the very first Photo Friday is coming to a close I thought I would end with a sunset. It’s a beautiful country down here filled curious things and I am so glad I get the chance to share them with you.
If you have a good link you want to share drop it in the comments.
